FloMaster CS – Controlled Fluid Flow for Superior Cementing Performance
Precision Pressure Management | Consistent Cement Placement | Proven Operational Results

The FloMaster CS is PDG’s innovative casing-deployed fluid-control tool, engineered to overcome many of the traditional challenges encountered during primary and remedial cementing. Installed as a bespoke pup-joint complete with integrated FloMaster modules, the tool acts as a downhole flow regulator, ensuring uniform displacement, controlled ECD and dependable cement placement throughout the entire operation.
Developed through extensive R&D and validated in multiple field trials, FloMaster CS gives operators something they have never had before—full control over annular fluid movement and surface pressure responses during the critical cementing phase.

Why FloMaster CS?
Traditional cementing often relies on pump performance alone to manage fluid placement. Variations in flow, pressure drops and uncontrolled free-fall can cause channelling, losses and cement contamination. The FloMaster CS changes that dynamic.

Key Advantages
-
Regulates fluid flow and circulating pressure downhole, keeping operations on design
-
Improves mud removal and cement displacement efficiency, ensuring high-quality zonal isolation
-
Maintains positive and consistent surface pressure signatures throughout the displacement phase
-
Mitigates loss-circulation risks through controlled annular flow and reduced free-fall conditions
-
Ensures accurate plug placement and prevents flash setting
-
Allows full control of flow rate regardless of available pump capacity
-
Simple to deploy, made up offline and run as part of the BHA
-
Drillable design – easily removed using a standard PDC bit

Tool Architecture & Operating Principle
FloMaster CS contains a series of precision-engineered orifices that act as a flow-path regulator, slowing uncontrolled fluid movement while maintaining a predictable differential pressure response.
The number of modules used determines the level of flow control (“F-Factor”), enabling the system to be tailored to each well program.
Technical Highlights
-
No moving parts, no valves, no dependency on mechanical activation
-
Modules permanently integrated within the casing pup-joint for maximum reliability
-
Designed and built to match customer tubular requirements (size, grade, weight & thread)
-
Available from 7"–20" casing sizes
Cost Efficiency
Poor displacement or multiple cementing attempts can dramatically increase non-productive time.
Example rig economics indicate that typical cementing operations may double or triple due to repeated jobs or losses. FloMaster CS mitigates these risks by increasing first-time success.

Applications
-
Primary cementing of intermediate and production casing
-
Extended-reach and high-angle wells
-
Loss circulation environments
-
Plug setting operations requiring precise height control
-
P&A, side-track and kick-off applications (via DP variant)

Bringing Innovation to Well Integrity
The FloMaster CS is a proven, practical technology that enhances cementing reliability—removing guesswork, reducing risk and supporting long-term zonal isolation integrity.
