Maxi-Lizer Single-Piece Non-Weld Bow-Spring Centraliser
Robust centralisation for challenging wellbores

The Maxi-Lizer is PDG’s next-generation single-piece, non-weld bow-spring centraliser, engineered to deliver high restoring force, low running drag and exceptional durability in today’s vertical, deviated and horizontal wells.

Manufactured as a one-piece unit with no welds between bows and end collars, the Maxi-Lizer eliminates traditional weak points, providing reliable performance in demanding casing-running and cementing operations.

Product overview:

The Maxi-Lizer is designed to:

  • Centralise casing and liners in open hole and cased hole environments

  • Maximise stand-off to improve cement placement and zonal isolation

  • Minimise friction and drag during running, even in high-angle sections

  • Withstand high lateral loads without bow collapse or permanent deformation

Its optimised bow geometry offers the ideal balance between flexibility and strength, helping operators reach planned depth and achieve a high-quality cement job.

Key benefits:

  • Single-piece, non-weld construction

    • No welds or mechanical joints between bows and collars

    • Enhanced structural integrity and fatigue resistance

    • Reduced risk of bow failure in tight or tortuous wellbores

  • High restoring force, low drag

    • Bow profile and heat treatment tuned for strong stand-off

    • Low starting and running forces to ease casing deployment

    • Supports improved cement coverage and reduced channelling risk

  • Optimised for modern well profiles

    • Suitable for vertical, deviated and horizontal wells

    • Ideal for extended-reach and challenging onshore/offshore wells

  • Durable materials and finish

    • Manufactured from high-strength spring steel

    • Special heat treatment for resilience and elastic recovery

Design features:

  • Slip-on single-piece body for simple installation and robust performance

  • Precision-formed bows for consistent restoring force around the circumference

  • Controlled bow height to achieve the required stand-off for a range of hole sizes

  • Chamfered lead edges to aid smooth passage through tight spots and restrictions

  • Compatible with PDG stop collars and accessories for secure placement on the string

Typical applications:

  • Primary cementing of surface, intermediate and production casing

  • Vertical, high-angle and horizontal wells where stand-off is critical

  • Wells with doglegs, ledges or washouts requiring reliable centralisation

  • Onshore and offshore wells where robustness and durability are essential

Sizes & configurations:

The Maxi-Lizer range is available for a wide selection of casing and liner sizes from 2 7/8" to 20" casing, with further sizes available on request.

Options include:

  • Different bow heights to match specific hole sizes and required stand-off

  • Standard and high-performance variants for more demanding profiles

Performance & standards:

  • Designed in line with industry practices for API 10D centraliser performance

  • Tested for starting force, running force and restoring force across relevant hole sizes

  • Engineered to maintain stand-off while limiting drag during casing RIH and rotation
